NY Institute of Chinese Medicine Accredited
The Acupuncture and Oriental Medicine programs of the NY Institute of Chinese medicine were accredited by the Accredition Commission for Acupuncture and Oriental Medicine (ACAOM) in spring 2002. ACAOM is recognized bt the U.S. Department of Education as the commission to develop standards for Acupuncture and Oriental Medicine programs in the U.S. Students at the NYICM train to becom practitioners of Traditional Chinese Medicine (TCM) under the guidence of teachers who studied and practiced in China.	To integrate east and west students receive strong foundations in western medical sciences also. NYICM graduates meet the educational requirements to qualify for a NYS acupuncture license. Classes are scheduled on weekends and weekday evenings at the schools Mineola campus just blocks from the LIRR. The next open house is Sunday August 4th from 2-4.
